Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge- Smitten

Welcome to the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

We have an awesome sponsor, Linnie's Blooms, who supplied each of the crew gals with a package of Faber-Castell Gelatos!  These amazing little "chapstick"-like watercolors bring about the most beautiful colors!

The LEAD of the Smitten challenge will receive a gift certificate to use at the Linnie's Blooms store!

Happy New Year!  I was so excited to finally play with some Gelatos.  They are way too much fun, and there are a million techniques you can use with them.  On my project I chose to use Silver and Watermelon.  I started by covering the top of my cardstock with the watermelon Gelato, then I pulled the color down the rest of the way with a wet paintbrush.  I'm impatient so I dried it with my heat gun.  Next I used my Silver Gelato and randomly drew the swirls to mimic our inspiration picture, then I just blended it in a bit with my finger tip.  I die-cut my snowflakes using my Uniko Studio Snowflake Dies and covered them with Gelatos, and again, blended with my finger.  To finish, I stamped my sentiment and added the amazingly pink sequins that I got as a gift from my amazing friend Stacey. =D  I am a big fan of Gelatos, and can't wait to buy them all!  I love that the colors are so bright and saturated.  I want to try more mixed media projects this year, and I think my Gelatos will get a ton of use!
