Bugs

Hey there!  I just wanted to pop in with a card I made using an "Oldie but Goody" Peachy Keen stamp set. (Faceless Bugs) I loooove bug stamps for some reason.  I don't like real bugs, but my 8 year old daughter is obsessed with them.  She loves all things nature.  =)  Anyway... I don't use a lot of purple in my designs, so I thought I'd give a whirl.  I started by cutting my dragonfly with my cameo and colored him.  I made an A2 card base with light lavender card stock and matted it with purple patterned paper. I stamped my sentiment (Bird Sentiments) on my white panel, adhered my bug, and stamped the antenna. I added a purple layer behind it and adhered it to my card.  Then I added some Stickles to his wings, and added a ric rac border and a few rhinestones to finish it off =)

Beachy Thank You's

Good morning!  I thought the Peachy Keen Stamps June set of the month would make some cute children's Thank You cards. I cut the shapes with my cameo, stamped the images, and colored them with Copic markers.  I cut three white card bases and added a black layer to each of them.  I chose coordinating bright colors for the third layer and rounded the corners before adhering them to the cards. The images were adhered with foam tape.  Lastly, I stamped the thank you sentiment which is from the January set of the month.  I think these would make cute thank you note's for a beach themed party!

Quick banner tip...

Hey guys!  I am away on vacation, but wanted to pop in with a quick card.  I really love the simplicity of this mini stamp set!  Here is a fun tip- to create a banner, like the one on which my sentiment is stamped, use a heart punch!  Neat, right????

Just Roll With It

Good morning!  If you haven't noticed, I love creating backgrounds with my stamps, which is what I did here with the new Roll With It stamp and SP&Company Ocean Waves Ink.  I am loving this new chalk ink!  I stamped my sentiment on a piece of white cardstock, and rounded the top corners.  I adhered it to the background layer and tied a twine bow beneath it. I  think red looks awesome with teal and black so I decided on a red card base for this card. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Gallery Idol Round Two!

I'm so excited to be one of the 20 Gallery Idol finalists!  The theme for round 2 is 'Defining Dad.'   My husband was a Marine for 20 years before he retired last year.  My Dad was also a Marine, so I knew right away that I wanted to make a Military-type card for this round.

To create this card, I cut red stripes and adhered them to a white cardstock panel.  I stamped each star with my glue pad onto a navy rectangle, then embossed them with white embossing powder.  The man was cut with my Cameo.  I also heat embossed his "name tag."  I finished  by stamping the sentiments in the bottom right corner.

Congratulations

Hi!  I felt like playing with my Uniko stamps today so I decided to combine that with a couple of this week challenges.  This card came together really quickly!  I used my Wonderful Washi stamp set to stamp the little banners, and All Occasion Sentiments #1 for the sentiment. =)  That smiley looks like an afterthought, doesn't it?  Probably because it was.  The top looked like it needed something! lol
Thanks for looking!

Some quick cards + Super Free Saturday!

Good morning!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. =)  I was playing with my Uniko Studio stamps yesterday and came up with three pretty fun cards.  This first card ended up going in a whole different direction than I had planned.  I started by stamping the sentiment and brackets with versamark and embossed them with white embossing powder.  It looked nice but it was a little plain (even for me. ha!)  So I went to town with my Copic markers.  Once it was all colored, I went over the whole thing again with my colorless blender.  I finished it off by rounding the top corners and adding some polkadot ribbon.

Supplies-
Copic Markers
Versamark
Filigree white embossing powder
Papertrey Ink white cardstock
Ribbon
Corner rounder

One-layer cards are my favorite.  They are quick and simple, and easy to mail!
