The Girl Friday Mystery Reveal Blog Hop

Welcome to The Girl Friday Mystery Reveal Blog Hop!
12 amazingly talented designers are joining the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Team! We have been sworn to secrecy for the past few months, and today we finally get to spill our beans!
I'm a Girl Friday!

Squeal!  I'm so excited to be a part of such an amazing team!  CAS is my "thing" so I  hope I am able to inspire others during my time as a Girl Friday. =)   So here are my first few cards, and some tips on keeping it CAS.

Rule #1 White space!  Don't be afraid of lots of white space.  It lets the stamps speak for themselves.  When you are working with great stamps, it doesn't take much to make a great card.  Keep it simple!  Use bright colors, and black.  They look amazing against white.
I also use a corner rounder quite a bit.  It can really change the way your card looks without adding anything extra.  I used Lotsa Links, and Exclamations to create this card.
(See full supply lists at the bottom of this post)

I am a very CAS stamper, so I don't use much patterned paper. I do, however, love to use embossing folders.  You still have lots of "white space" but the texture adds detail and interest.  I used the Breathe stamp set for this card.  The fonts are perfect and I love the little swoosh stamps!

Again, no patterned paper on this card.  Why buy paper, when stamping it yourself is so much fun!? Stamping my own backgrounds is one of my favorite things to do. =)  To keep is CAS, I usually stick with 3 colors or less.  Bold Wishes has some great stamps for creating your own backgrounds.  I also like to hand-draw a messy-ish border on my card fronts.  I feel like it brings it all together without having to add a ton of embellishments.

We could just make a regular old team announcement, but that wouldn't be nearly as fun as a mystery blog hop filled with awesome creative inspiration, clues and prizes...would it?
To join the fun, you'll need to start at the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog  where you will be given the link to meet the first Girl Friday and collect your first clue. Then continue through our mystery blog hop, meeting the team, gathering clues and leaving comments along the way for your chance to win prizes!
Yes, prizes!!
Each new Girl Friday has a prize up for grabs!
At the last stop on the hop, you'll have one more chance to win a prize by using the clues you've gathered to solve the mystery. The hop ends at noon on December 27th.
Leave a comment on this post for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! Winners will be announced on the CFC blog on December 28th.

Uniko Studio December Release

Hey there!  I wanted to pop in and share what I've created with the new Uniko Studio stamps.

I started this card by heat embossing the tree onto watercolor paper.  Next I added watercolor around the tree to make it stand out.  I heat embossed the sentiment in red, lightly inked the edges of the watercolor paper, and adhered it to a red card base.
(Full supply lists below.)

To create this card I stamped my snowflakes and sentiment with white pigment ink, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  To make it even snowier, I inked the edges and spritzed on some shimmer.  To finish, I added some gems and adhered my card front to a red card base.

Here is a simple card that would be very easy to mass-produce.  I started by embossing my white layer with an embossing folder, and rounded the corners.  Then I stamped the holly and sentiment and adhered it to a black card base.

Nicki and N@ali also have cards to share from this release!

Paper Sweeties December Release Rewind!

Hey there!  I have one last project to share for this months' release.  This will be my last post with Paper Sweeties.  I've loved working with Debbie and all of the Paper Sweeties girls.  I'm so glad I got to be a part of this team!

I just love this mug with the steam coming out of it.  *So cute!*  I cut the sentiment tag with the new snowglobe die.  I love it when I can use dies in more than one way. =)
